As a clinician, I Will
- Provide a safe space for a client to feel comfortable in sharing their stories.
- Establish the expectations and goals of the program.
- Be honest and non-judgmental.
- Provide a trusting relationship in which I will meet you where you are at in your process of treatment.
- Tailor the treatment plan to you as an individual Help identify support systems.
As our client, You Will
- Overcome fear of the unknown and receive education.
- Explore coping patterns and progress through the stages of change.
- Make lifestyle changes toward developing independence and learning recovery maintenance and/or
- symptom management.
- Enhance motivation to seek new/more optimistic perspectives in developing the ability to recognize
- and deal with emotions.
- Cultivate and maintain support systems.
Together, We Will
- Involve your entire support system and/or family to repair, restore, and build positive relationships.
- Focus on education on assisting/facilitating the process of recovery to learn about the positive aspects
- of therapy.
- Promote open, healthy communication and understand the nature of the challenges ahead.
- Understand how to take responsibility for one’s own happiness and health.
- Be part of a non-judgmental supportive community.
